It is a very interesting and informative question. According to the assessment report in 2022 of the Centre for Governance Studies (CGS) on SMEs in Bangladesh, 48.41% contribution of total GDP came from SMEs. The role of small and medium enterprises were 22.3% and 26.11% respectively. Observing the table of ‘’Growth Opportunities of SMEs in Bangladesh’’, I was shocked. The SME sectors have great growth opportunities in Bangladesh. SMEs are facing multiple challenges including credit crunch, cumbersome bureaucratic processes, etc.
